According to the drivers Chimpreports talked to, USAFI is not strategically located and being a new park, customers will take long to get used to it.

“We can’t just lose our clients like that. Many don’t know that park and it will take us time to recover our customers,” said an angry driver.

In a similar situation, KCCA yesterday cleared City Square of all taxis adding fuel to the already burning fire.

Today morning, taxis from Entebbe and those taking Ggaba roads haven’t yet surfaced in town.

Eyewitnesses say all Entebbe road taxi drivers dump passengers at a place called Namulanda but none continues to Kampala.

Our Corps say USAFI Market Park is now being manned by anti-riot police officers.

In other reports, President Yoweri Museveni, stopped at USAFI today and promised to contact KCCA so that the situation is resolved.
