“Candidates who were successfully nominated to contest for Directly Elected Member of Parliament include; Bufwambu Joseph Masolo, an Independent, Butita Paul of DP, Mutonyi Masaaba Rose of NRM, Mwiyikinwa A. Emma an Independent candidate and Wakhweya Ahamadah of FDC.”

Candidates nominated for Male Youth Councillor, Manafwa Town Council include; Malomo Keron of NRM and Netalisile Abuneli of FDC.

Candidates for Directly Elected Councillor, Lwanjusi Parish, Busukuya Sub County include; Aluku Julius of NRM and Okemeri Joseph who is an Independent candidate.

Kiggundu added that the Electoral Commission has gazetted Bubulo Red Cross Hall, Manafa Town Council as the venue for tallying and declaration of election results.

The contested seat fell vacant after Tony Kipoi missed more than 15 House sittings forcing Parliament to throw him out.
