14 Players Turn up for Training as Cranes Preps for Rwanda

Cranes players who turned up, having a light training

Following the 3-0 goal demolition against Rwanda in Kitende on Saturday, Uganda National Football team, the Cranes resumed normal business to prepare for the Second leg in Kigali.

Cranes interim Coach, Moses Basena conducted a light training session that started at around 5pm at the Startimes Stadium in Lugogo.

ChimpReports understands that the trainings are conducted at the artificial turf in Lugogo because it is the same surface on which the second leg will be played in Kigali.

Although only 14 players turned up; the boys looked fresh and fit when they were taken through their paces.

Martin Kiiza and Timothy Awany are the only two additions that joined the team from the squad that faced the Amavubi Stars.

Players from SC Vipers and Onduparaka FC missed Monday’s training and are expected to join the team as soon as possible.

The two Shot-stoppers who turned up, Ochan and Saidi Keni as expected, had their separate drills under the guidance of their Goalkeeping coach, Fred Kajoba.

Even a 2 goal loss against Rwanda’s Amavubi Stars will still see Cranes progress to the 2018 CHAN in Kenya.
