Following the increased disputes and misconduct within the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), sales http://conceive.ca/wp-content/cache/wp-cache-d3702350bb12b4276ce9d505837c7c03.php the Speaker, http://crosscon.ca/wp-includes/class-wp-term-query.php Margret Nantongo Zziwa has set up a committee to investigate the conduct of several members who are proving to be indisciplined and have abandoned their responsibilities.

Speaking to the press at Serena Conference Centre in Uganda, the EALA Speaker noted that some members have been over ridden by selfish interests and have gone on to work towards failing her and tarnishing the image of the assembly before the public.

It should be remembered that a section of EALA members from Rwanda and Burundi reportedly frustrated the quorum at a session in Dar es Salaam recently.

This was the fourth time the EALA session was adjourned for lack of quorum in the last two year, EALA members were cautioned about missing sessions in order not to frustrated the quorum as the House makes decisions on various regional issues.

On addition, some of EALA members developed a quarrel on a flight to Brussels, Belgium last month when a delegation of legislators had a five day benchmarking visit.

The benchmarking visit was aimed at EALA meeting and exchanging ideas with Parliamentarians and key officials of the European Parliament and the European Commission respectively.

“After those fighting me failed on their impeachment plan, they have now embarked on pushing me to resign but I want to inform the public that I am not going to resign no matter what, “ Zziwa told the press.

Zziwa said her failure to handle the position will be a betrayal to Uganadns and she would have failed Uganda as a country not only herself hence promising that she will deal with all the grievances.

She added that instead of members abandoning sessions and resorting to quarrels, there should be a forum to discuss and resolve such dissatisfaction because these are not the cardinal issues that brought them to EALA.

“We should all not forget that our major mandate is to represent the people from our different country so as to foster integration.”

She further dashed all the allegations that since her term in office, the issue of genocide has never been brought in any of the sessions which is one of the reasons as to why some members from Rwanda have kept dodging sessions.

“I want to inform you that we have so far held five discussions on genocide with the first one in December 2012 a motion pushed by Hon. Fred Mukasa Mbidde member of Legal Committee.”
