Buganda road grade one magistrate Pamela Ocaya Lamunu has adjourned the hearing of the case where Makindye councilor Allan Ssewanyana is accused of four defamation charges to 27th May 2015.

The adjournment followed the prayer by the state prosecutor in this case Esther Nalungi to be granted a break because investigations in the case are still ongoing

This was not been objected by the defense counsel Abdulah Kiwanuka.

Prosecution claims that between December last year and this year at NBS TV and Top Radio on various dates during Lunch time sports and Ekiswani Kye Mizanyo programmes Sewanyana made defamatory statement against Top Bet Sports Betting Company.

Sewanyana allegedly uttered statements that the Top betting company doesn’t want to pay wins and that it was created to steal people’s money; which comments were deemed as inciting its customers.
