Zambia Win Afcon Under-20


Zambia hosted and won the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations after beating Senegal 2-0 in the finals played at the Heroes national stadium in Lusaka on Sunday.

Parson Daka and Edward Chilufya both scored in the first half to seal the first ever title in front of a capacity crowd. Daka was later on awarded man of the tournament gong.

“It’ is amazing, healing fantastic. I am a very happy coach with the outcome of this competition that we have dominated and won, approved ” Zambia coach Best on Chambeshi said after registering five wins in as much games.

Senegal picked silver, the second successive loss in a final of this competition, while Guinea finished third after beating South Africa.
