Youth Livelihood Fund Isn’t Presidential Handshake – Youths Warned

The Ibanda Deputy RDC Mary Bashongoka Kamaduka has cautioned the Youth Livelihood Fund beneficiaries in the district to stop treating the soft loans from the program as a “Presidential Handshake, decease http://circleofliferediscovery.com/blog/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/json-endpoints/class.wpcom-json-api-render-endpoint.php ” warning that it could land them in big trouble.

The RDC told the youths that the fund is revolving in nature and meant to cause positive change to more creative youths in the country.

Bashongoka made the call on Monday while sensitizing 26 youth group chairpersons in Ibanda district at the district council hall.

She pointed out that some youths were misinformed by their members that the money was to be enjoyed as some received it during the elections.

The Ibanda district community development Officer Alex Kirabo Asiimwe revealed that in the  Financial Year 2016-2017 they received Shs 288 million targeting 29 youth groups and that so far 26 groups have already received UgX 257M on their group accounts.

The beneficiaries include; Kitonjo bull fattening, Kakunama BodaBoda, Butarama, Rwenkundezi and many others.
