Youth Activist Forcing Kayihura’s Resignation Granted Bail

Opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Youth League activist and leader of the pressure group Jobless Brotherhood, cheap http://coachypnose.fr/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/notes.php Augustine Ojobile has on Monday been released on Court bail by the Nakawa Grade 1 Magistrate Court.

Ojobile was arrested on Friday by Police in Naguru after staging a sit down strike at the Police Headquarters demanding for the resignation of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Gen. Kale Kayihura.

Ojobile was arrested and charged with criminal trespass and had been detained at Jinja road police station since Friday.

The Nakawa Grade 1 Magistrate Ssajabbi has this afternoon granted Ojobile a Sh100, http://communalp.at/wp-admin/includes/comment.php 000 cash bail.

Ojobile pleaded guilty and will appear back in court on 23 August.

The Jobless Brotherhood and other sections of the opposition launched a call for Kayihura’s resignation in the wake of his defense of police’s brutal handling of Col Dr Kizza Besigye supporters recently.

Ojobile led a group of the Youth Coalition for Change (YCC) who petitioned the British High Commission last month calling upon the commission to raise a red flag against police accusing them of brutalizing innocent civilians.
