As expected, Ndejje University proved their dominance in wood ball with yet another brilliant performance.
Ndejje University emerged overall winners at the 2nd edition of the President’s Cup played at Lugogo cricket oval.
The one day tournament staged to commemorate the nine year existence of the Uganda Woodball Federation attracted several participants.
The Luweero based university emerged victors both in the men and women senior category garnering a total of 379 strokes.
The men collected 190 while the ladies fetched 189 strokes to make an overall total of 379.
In the Corporate category, St. Joseph’s Kisubi Technical Corporate team were triumphant with a total of 442 strokes from both the men’s and women’s category.
In the men’s singles, Bridge Byamukama from Zoe Woodball club dethroned last year’s winner Onesmus Atamba with 40 strokes. The latter had 41 while Brian Gwaava also from Zoe woodball club came third with 42 strokes.
Ndejje’s Joyce Nalubega won the women’s single category with 44 strokes ahead of Saliwa Nakawoya and Sharon Jerotich.
