The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) women’s Elite league is set to kick off early next month after several postponements.

The third edition is expected to kick off in the first weekend of November(4th -5th) although the opening were not announced.

A total of sixteen teams will play in the third edition thus meaning the number of teams has been maintained from the previous edition.

The eighth slot in this group will be taken on the winner between St. James and Uganda Martyr’s after a playoff game.
Defending champions Kawempe Muslim who will be seeking for a third title in a row has been drawn against Gadaffi Integrated academy a team that has been bought off by Fufa president Moses Magogo.
The other teams include Western United from Mbarara, Buikwe She Red stars, Muteesa I Royal University, Riness, Stallion ladies (formerly London College Nansana) and Uganda Christian University (UCU) Lady cardinals.
Kawempe Muslim are the defending champions after defeating She Corporate 5-3 on spot kicks last season.
