The event held at the City Hall in Kampala was presided over by the now outgoing Security Minister Mary Karooro Okurut on behalf of Minister in charge of Kampala Frank Tumwebaze who is out of the country attending to his sick father in India.

The MPs led by Buhweju MP, Francis Mwijukye and Rubaga South MP, Moses Kasibante when the minister rose to make her remarks, stood up and walked out, saying that she was illegally occupying her office.

“These people are now masquerading as Ministers; the President hasn’t appointed them and Parliament has not approved them,” he said.

“Sitting and listening to such a person would be a waste of time. Their term of office as Ministers ended long time ago,” Mwijukye said.

The President was later in the evening to drop the new cabinet, moving Hon Mary Karooro from Ministry of Security to the Office of the Prime Minister where she will be serving as Minister for General Duties.
