Jinja Municipal Hippos coach George William Lutaalo believes his team were just unlucky not to pick at least a point in their clash against Soana FC on Saturday at Kakindu.
“We played very well but were just unlucky to convert the numerous chances created in front of goal, this http://consolibyte.com/wp-includes/theme-compat/footer.php ” coach Lutaalo told ChimpSports after the loss.
“They didn’t play well to deserve the win but used their chance well even though the goal entered as a result of a cheap mistake. But that said this is a learning trend and we have picked a thing or two from the defeat which we can build on.
David Ssali scored the all important goal for coach Sam Simbwa’s Soana side late in the 70th minute through a rare strike from the right wing. The winger flew in a feeble cross which surprisingly dropped at the back of the net with Wagima fumbling to hold on.
“I can’t fully blame the goalkeeper for the loss but its a lesson to him that much as we are playing he must also be active. That’s a mistake that he must correct before the next game but he is a good goalkeeper who can improve if he puts in seriousness.”
The Jinja team have already arrived in Arua ready for their Tuesday Clash against Onduparaka FC who also lost 3-1 to URA FC at Lugazion Saturday. The team is still rooted at the bottom of the table with only two points from nine games played.
“Its still early to predict how the league will end but what I know is that we shall get some wins which will propel us above the struggling line,” he added.
