With just 18 days to the kickoff of the much anticipated 2017 African cup of Nations, web http://demo.des.net.id/smpharapankita/wp-includes/wp-db.php preparations are in high gear for the 16 teams that will take part.
Uganda cranes midfielder Khalid Aucho has come out to state Uganda is not an underdog compared to the teams they will be playing come next month.
“We are not underdogs as many people think and we shall prove to the world what we can match any team, dosage ” said Aucho.
Uganda is in group D with Ghana, patient Mali and Egypt but the defensive midfielder is confident the cranes pull off results against the supposedly bigger sides.
“We have previously played against Egypt, we have had several games against Ghana and much as we haven’t played Mali quite often but we are confident we can get results against them,” added Aucho.
Aucho who plies his trade with Premier Soccer League side, Baroka FC in South Africa joined cranes camp today training with the team in the morning at IUIU female campus in Kabojja and he said he was impressed with everyone’s commitment.
“The mood in the camp is good. Everyone is fighting hard to make the final squad. The fitness levels are high and we are all focused,” he said.
Uganda will start the African cup of Nations campaign against Ghana on 17th January.
