Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder Victor Wanyama will lead Kenya’s Harambee Stars against Uganda Cranes as the two sides meet this Thursday in an international friendly game.

Head coach Stanley Okumu named a team of 37 players including captain Victor Wanyama ahead of the friendly games against Uganda this Saturday and DR. Congo on Saturday in Machakos.

12 of the summoned players are foreign based including striker Michael Olunga who plies his trade at Chinese club Guizhou Zhicheng.

Wanyama has been a key figure in Tottenham’s midfield since joining the club at the start of the season and is expected to lead Kenya ahead of the AFCON 2019 qualifiers.

Kenya were drawn in Group F alongside Ghana, Ethiopia and Sierra Leone and are seeking to return to the coveted African showpiece for the first time since 2007.
