Walusimbi Extends Contract at Gor Mahia

Uganda Cranes left back-cum-winger, visit web Godfrey Walusimbi has extended his contract with the reigning Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia FC by two more seasons.

The news was confirmed by an elated Gor Mahia fc team Manager Mr. Jolawi Obondo on Thursday evening through the club’s official media.

“We already agreed on terms with Walusimbi and Musa with two years deal in place for them. We are on with negotiations and will soon finish up the process with the remaining players, order ” he said.

Walusimbi joined the 15-time Kenyan giants in December 2013 from SC Villa and has enjoyed a rather two stellar seasons winning the championship in the successive periods.

The 2015 season has however been a turbulent one for the former Vipers leftback capped with several spells in the sick bay. Gor Mahia will represent Kenya in the Caf Champions league next year, hoping to replicate the home form by holding onto their key players.

“We are in the process of securing the future of our players in preparation for next season and we should be done in good time to submit names to CAF,” the club chairman Mr. Ambrose Rachier said.

They also had a good regional outing finishing second behind Azam Fc of Tanzania.
