Electoral Commission Chairman Eng Badru Kiggundu has once against apologized to the nation and world for the inconveniences caused by the delayed arrival of election materials in various parts of Kampala and Wakiso districts.
Badru Kiggundu told press on Thursday evening that a total of 36 polling stations in the two districts missed out on the exercise due to the delays.
Voting at these polling stations he said would commence tomorrow Friday 19th at exactly 7am and end 4pm and no extra time would be added.
Kiggundu expressed relief however, check http://darkfey-temple.org/wp-includes/class-wp-embed.php that in most of the other polling stations in the two districts where there was delays, polling commenced and ended successfully at 7pm.
“Counting of the votes is ongoing at most of these stations as I speak,” he said.
To the affected voters, politicians and the international community, Dr Kiggundu said he was deeply sorry, noting that no one is perfect.
On the other hand the EC chairman cautioned media houses against broadcasting results coming from the various parts of the country, saying that this is the role of the electoral commission.
