Taifa Stars newly appointed head coach Boniface Charles Mkwasa has admitted that the team has a big mountain to climb against Uganda in the weekend.
Tanzania needs to score at least four goals without conceding for a chance to qualify to the next round.

“In football, anything is possible, it is up to us to try and overturn the score on their backyard. I know it will be difficult after the home defeat, but we must prepare ourselves for the battle,” Mkwasa told the media after the team’s Monday’s training.
Boniface Charles Mkwasa was appointed by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) as head coach of Taifa Stars replacing Mart Nooij who was sacked just hours after the heavy loss to the Cranes.
Mkwasa is assisted by Hemed Morocco from Zanzibar. The coach has selected a new look side of 24 players.
The team will only miss central defender Aggrey Morris (injured) and midfielder Jonas Mkude who is away in South Africa for trials.
