In a bid to bolster their squad ahead of the new Uganda Premier League season, Kirinya Jinja SS have acquired the services of striker Musa Esenu from Vipers Sports Club.
Esenu who has been out of favour at the Kitende based club has joined Kirinya Jinja SS on a season long loan.
Charles Ayieko, the coach at the Jinja based side confirmed the deal to ChimpReports after the friendly game against KCCA FC on Friday.
“We have got Musa Esenu on a one year loan deal and he will be joining the team very soon,” Ayieko confirmed.
The coach who worked with Esenu at MUBS in the University league believes the striker will be resourceful to his team despite flopping at Vipers.
“I know his potential because I have worked with him previously. I believe he will regain the confidence and help solve our scoring woes,” Ayieko stated.
Esenu joined Vipers at the start of last season after a blissful period at Soana but failed to command a starting slot and scored just two goals.
Ayiekho also intimated that they are in final talks to secure the services of midfielder Ibrahim Kawiya also from Vipers.
Kayiwa is on the radar of very many clubs including URA FC, Express and SC Villa.
Kirinya survived relegation last season by a whisker and the target this season will be avoiding the predicaments.
The school side has already signed nine players and these include; Douglas Muganga (Nyamityobora), Ismail Kawawulo (Nyamityobora), Emmanuel Rubangkene (Paidha Black Angels), Sabir Nesta (Paidha Black Angels), Moses Batali (JMC Hippos), Makuro Willy(JMC Hippos), Faizal Muledhu (Sadolin Paints), Andrew Basoma (Sadolin Paints) and Fred Amaku (Paidha Black Angels).
