Netball World Youth Cup
Cook Islands 39-52 Uganda
The Uganda U21 Netball side, the She Pearls, has this morning picked its third victory in the Netball World youth cup against Oceania based country Cook Islands.
The future is positive for Uganda in the netball discipline and following the senior team’s triumph in the concluded African Netball championship in Lugogo, the U21 side are looking forward to emulate their elders.
She Pearls opened the tournament with a victory against Malaysia before another hard fought win against host nation Botswana on Monday.
The country now awaits Jamaica tomorrow in their last group game in the University of Botswana Indoor sports Arena.

Day four will see Barbados play Zimbabwe, Scotland face off with Northern Ireland in a United Kingdom derby, African power house South Africa will play Singapore and later on, Home nation Botswana will seal the day with with an epic encounter against Jamaica.
What you need to know about the Netball World Youth Cup:
It’s the pinnacle of the Netball competition for emerging players who are aged below 21 years.
This year’s edition is a 9-day event tournament which is currently hosted in Botswana capital Gaborone, between 20 countries from the 5 Netball Federation regions.
This is the first time Internatuonal Netball Federation has held an international event on the black continent.
The tournament which is contested after every four years has previously been won by only New Zealand and Australia in its 7 editions since 1988.
