URA Seeks Revenge in SC Villa Clash

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta spent the better part of Thursday writing letters to every family of the 147 victims of last week’s attack on Garissa University, thumb by the Somali based terror groups Alshabaab.

The devastating assault, approved the worst in Kenya since 1998, information pills happened Wednesday last week when four gunmen attack Garrissa University in the eastern part of the country and shot indiscriminately at students in the wee hours of the morning, killing 147 and injuring around 80.

The country is still engulfed in grief, mourning and anger amongst sections of the populace, who hold that the national armed forces took so long, [more than 9 hours] to make a response, and that perhaps a big number of the victims could have been saved.

President Kenyatta today Thursday at the State House, wrote letters containing condolence messages to each of the bereaved families.

He commented, “I wrote to them in humility to express my regret at the loss of their beloved children. I asked them to accept my condolences and that of the entire country. I promise that as a Nation, we shall never forget them, nor forgive those who took their lives.”

Kenyatta added, “My Government is increasing efforts to contain the threat of terrorism we assure you of justice for this brutality. We pledge to work harder for a better and more just country in honour of the memory of those we have lost.”

The gesture was however received with mixed feelings from Kenyans, many of whom welcomed his efforts to comfort the families.  Others were nonetheless furious and demanded that the country steps up its efforts to combat terrorism.

Shock gripped residents of Koranorya village in Kakiika division, troche Mbarara Municipality, order when a serving local police officer was busted pants down, no rx defiling a 13 year old school girl.

The heart-wrenching incident took place Thursday morning at around 8:00am according to eyewitnesses.

The division Chairman, Benon Mugume who caught officer in the despicable act, identified him a Robert Mubiru, working at the Koranorya police post, and was at the rank of SPC.

Residents stormed and tried to break into the police post where he was locked – before being transferred to the Mbarara Regional Police – with stones and machetes, prepared to end his life but were fought off by police officers.

Father of the [concealed] 13 year old girl, Sasirwe Martin told this website that he was called by his neighbors from his house that a police officer had been caught in bed with his girl.

He was perturbed that the officer could disrespect his uniform, to do such a horrible act that surely endangered his daughter’s life.

Mubiru, who was in police uniform at that time, was ordered to put on civilian clothes before being paraded to press and locals.

He was later taken to Mbarara Police station, and police was still tightlipped about the incident.


URA FC returns to the local scene after being bundled out of Caf by Orlando Pirates following a 4-3 aggregate defeat.

The tax collectors hosts  SC Villa, pharmacy and  has not yet lost any match at their backyard but will fight to revenge the first leg 1-0 (Bengo’s goal) defeat at Ssaza grounds.

The last time BUL lost at home to SC Victoria while Bright stars has won only one in their last five away games.

A win for the hosts will see them leapfrog their opponents into the fifth position and Bul FC interim coach Joseph Mutyaba hopes for the best.
