URA FC Unveil New Players Ahead of New Season

URa has unvieled new players and also renewed contracts

Like it has become a norm for almost every other team in the Uganda Premier League, Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club have also unveiled their new players ahead of the new season.

The tax collectors have acquired eight new players that join the team in a bid to bolster the squad with the ambition of winning the league.

Key among the new arrivals is midfielder Brian Majwega who joins URA FC from champions KCCA FC.

Majwega fell out with the management at Lugogo and he believes at URA FC, he can revive his career.

“I’m happy that I join an established team like URA FC with clear ambitions. I’m looking forward to help the team but also rekindle myself,” he said.

The other new signing is Joseph Mbolimbo Mpande formerly for Vipers.

MpandeMpane joins URA FC on a 3 month loan stint from Myanmar champions City Yangon where he was the top scorer.

Forward Henry Kisekka also returns to the club on a short loan deal (6 months).

Others include, Denis Kamanzi, Paul Patrick Mbowa, Charles Ssempa, Steven Mboza (promoted) from the junior team).

There was also renewal of contracts for some of the players that have been around including Said Kyeyune, Julius Ntambi, Hudu Mulikyi.

The club also officially announced that they have shifted from Mehta stadium, Lugazi to Mandela national stadium as their home ground for next season.

URA FC begin their new season with a home fixture against UPDF FC at Mandela National stadium.
