UPL: Kirinya Continues Hunt for Maiden Win as They Host Lweza

Uganda premier league resumes on this weekend with eight games on the menu. Two will be played on Friday and the rest on Saturday afternoon.

Kirinya Jinja SS FC welcome Lweza FC in Bugembe as they step up their hunt for a maiden victory in the topflight. The team are clipped in the red zone of the table with only eight points from eight draws.

Kirinya threw away a late first half lead against Bright Stars through Edward Kakembo to pick the fifth straight draw at home. Joshua Kawadwa nicked in from a freekick early in the second half.

Coach Isabirye is unlikely to alter his starting team except one change in first choice keeper bringing in Joel Mutakubwa for Tom Ikara who injured his arm. John Wakalaita, Sapeo Ceasar and Kiiza are all back and fit for selection.

Lweza FC are not far better hovering in the banks of relegation on the eleventh place with 13 points only two above safety.

The Wankulukuku based team have the third highest number of draws, 7, recorded in the league. Intact they have drawn each of their last for away games that followed a 1-0 win over Bright stars.
