UPDF Officers Charged With Aggravated Robbery Seek Case Dismissal

Two UPDF officers belonging to the Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) who are facing charges of aggravated robbery have asked court to dismiss this case over what they have referred to as delayed prosecution

The duo of Capt. William Mukajanga, malady http://cdkstone.com.au/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/emails/class-wc-email-customer-invoice.php 32, abortion and Lt. Tito Kiggundu are accused of robbing Shs 25 million from MBS Fruit Agencies, ampoule a wine bottling company in Nalukolongo.

The accused, through their Lawyer Kikomeko have informed court that in the previous sitting the state asked for the last adjournment to commence with the hearing of the matter but up to now they are not ready for a hearing.

This has followed request from the state prosecutor Maj. Raphael Mugisha for another adjournment to enable them finalize the investigations.

The Judge advocate of court, Lt. Col. Gideon Katinda advised court that it’s too early to dismiss this case urging the state prosecution to ensure that they produce at least two witnesses in the next court sitting so that the hearing of the matter can commence.

Court martial chairman Lt. Gen. Andrew Gutti has adjourned the matter to October 10th, 2016 for hearing.
