UPDF: No Ugandan Soldier Killed in Somalia Suicide Attack

The Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) has clarified that no Ugandan soldier was killed or injured in the Monday suicide attack in Somalia.

Reports would later start spreading that some Ugandan peacekeepers had been injured in the dreadful attack.

“This is to clarify that no Ugandan soldier got injured or killed in today’s suicide attack in Somalia as has been rumoured by those who don’t wish Uganda well,” UPDF said in a statement released on Monday evening.

The powerful blasts at the peacekeeping base also damaged the front of a nearby Hotel though there were casualties from there.
