UPC’s Akena and Group Shun Court

Of the accused 15, only Hon Betty Amongi appeared in court today

Uganda Woodball Federation (UWbF) and Coral Coatings Limited have announced a sponsorship package where the latter will bankroll the Uganda Open Woodball Championship to a tune of ten million shillings.

The tourney, which is on the 7th edition, will now be renamed to ‘Coral Coatings – Uganda Woodball Open’. Over 30 teams have shown interest after the organizers agreed to allow schools back into the competition.

“UWbF is always looking out for new talents at all levels – schools (primary and secondary),universities and corporate bodies. Besides talent identification, UWbF is always striving to build the player from school; make them competitive at university and club level; and make Woodball part of their corporate life.” Mr. Kayongo remarked.

The Mayor of Entebbe  Municipality, His Worship Vincent de Paul Kayanja will be the guest of honor.

Buganda Road Court senior principle Magistrate Mary Kisakye has extended criminal summons for Uganda Peoples Congress Party President Jimmy Akena and thirteen others to October 8, salve http://cybermed.edu.my/wp-includes/plugin.php to appear in this court to take plea on the charges of trespassing on the Uganda House building.

The extension followed failure by Akena and thirteen others to turn up in court.  Their defense counsel Tumwesigye Muhumuza informed court that all the accused are politicians who are busy campaigning for the upcoming UPC party elections upcountry.

On September 16th 2015 Buganda road court magistrate Mary Kaitesi issued criminal summons to Jimmy Akena and fourteen others on allegations that on the June 5 2015, Akena and his cabinet, without lawful excuse, violently entered and occupied the 6th floor of the Uganda House Building thereby disrupting business of other tenants.
