University Football League Returns After Two Months’ Break

The fifth edition of the university football league is set to resume next week after a two months’ break.

“We are heading to the quarterfinals but the defending champion is not here and we have teams like Busitema and Gulu. This shows the competition we have had this season, visit web ” added Kisenyi.

Penninah Kabenge, the Uganda University Sports Association president thanked the sponsors for facilitating the competition.

The knockout phase kicks off next week on Wednesday with Makerere University taking on Kyambogo University while last year’s finalists Uganda Martyr’s University Nkozi will play at home against Uganda Christian University (UCU).

The other quarter final matches between Busitema University and Kyambogo university and Gulu University against Nkumba University will be played the following week before return legs.

The semifinals will start on 26th October with first leg fixtures before return legs a week later while the finals are scheduled for 12th November at Mandela national stadium.

22nd/Sept : Uganda Martyr’s University vs Uganda Christian University

28th/sept Busitema University vs Kyambogo university

29th/Sept Gulu university vs Nkumba University
