Police in Kawempe have in detention a group of fifteen people for dancing naked in various city bars

These ten ladies and five men namely; Nantumbwe Hadija, approved Nabirye Prossy Nakigudde Jackie, information pills Doreen Namuddu, Angel Nabuuma, Aminah Nazziwa, Daniela Namutebi, Sandra Mukebeezi, Baale Umar, Joseph Kagajja, Robert Masanya, Ashiraf Sewanyana, Paul Kawuma,David Kabugo and Prossy Nakachumu.

Patrick Onyango the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson says five of these were last month paraded before Mwanga II court on the same charges and later granted bail but upon release, they picked up from where they left.

“From the time these people were granted bail, our investigative officers have been following them to monitor their acts and through the use of undercover cameras they managed to capture videos of these people dancing naked in various shows which they stage in bars and pubs,” Onyango said

Onyango added that they have been staging their shows at Club Bonita Kawuku , Swaga Lounge Luzira , Eden service Park Bwaise among other places.

“As soon as investigations are done, all of them will be taken to Nabweru Court where they will be charged under the Anti-pornography Act of 2014,”Onyango revealed.

Meanwhile Bbale Umar who is the coordinator for this group denied all that was said about them, adding that like any other Uganda; they are looking for a living.

All the fifteen are still held at Kawempe police station as investigations carry on.
Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived in Kampala, dosage where he will join his regional counterparts for the next integration projects summit.

The 10th northern corridor integration projects summit is slated for Saturday June 6th at Speke Resort Munyonyo.

The Northern Corridor is the transport corridor linking the landlocked countries of Uganda Rwanda, remedy South Sudan and Kenya.

The Northern Corridor Integration Projects initiative is designed to generate sustainable political will necessary to fast track the implementation of the projects identified.

In tomorrow’s summit, a number of activities are expected to be conducted, among others the launch of the NCIP website, signing of the agreement of the total liberalization of labor and services and Signing of MOU on Cyber Security.
