Ugandans Abroad: Bukenya Opens Account as Ugandans Register Mixed Results in SA

Tanzanian enterprising striker, viagra 60mg Mbwana Samatta netted a brilliant hat-trick on Saturday night as his teammates Roger Assale and Zambian marksman Rainford Kalaba supplemented a goal apiece against Mougreb Tetuon (Morocco) to ensure based TP Mazembe strolls to the semi finals of the 2015 Orange CAF champions league.

The win sent the Lubumbashi outfit top of group B setting a crunch date with Salim Jamal’s  Al Merreikh. The Sudanese giants finished on second spot with thirteen points after defeating Algerian club USM Algiers through Ali Lebri’s first half strike at the Al Merreikh Stadium in Omdurman.

Another Sudanese side, malady Al Hilal cruised joined the last four after a hard fought one all draw away in Alexandria against Egyptian debutants Smouha SC. Hilal will take on USM Algiers in a two legged semi final tie.

New signings Sula ‘Malouda’ Matovu, web Yasser Mugerwa and Geoffrey Massa were out of action over the weekend in South Africa as their teams registered a pool of mixed results.

Ivan Bukenya netted his first goal this season for Kaizer Chiefs as they defeated Supersport united 4-1 on Saturday. Bukenya who benefitted from the absence of Willard Katsande to make to the starting team capitalised on Siphiwe Tshabalala’s 57th minute freekick to head the third. Earlier on George Lebese had scored a brace while Tshabalala scored the fourth.

The news wasnt as good for Uganda Cranes first choice goalie Dennis Onyango as his side Mamelodi Sundowns crashed 2-1 against Golden Arrows.

Onyango gifted the Arrows the first goal in the opening half after he brought down Rodney Ramagalela inside the forbidden area. Mabuti Khenzeya converted the resulting  penalty. Ryan Chapman scored the other while Thebwa Zembwa grabbed the consolation.

Uganda Cranes skipper Geoffrey Massa was unused as his team Bloemphontein Celtics cruised past Maritzburg Fc. Celtic scored through Thapelo Morena and Musa Nyatama late in the first half.

Caf confederations.
Yassar Mugerwa’s new club Orlando Pirates ended the Caf confederations cup group stages on a low, succumbing to a 4-1 defeat to El Zamalek in the last group B game played at Stade Petro Sport Stadium in Cairo. The Pirates failed to stop goals from Ahmed Tawfik, Ahmed Hassan Mekki, Moustafa Fathi and Mahmoud Kahraba.

They however proceed to semi-finals as the second best team and will face another Egyptian side Al Ahly.
