Ugandan Innovation ‘Thin Void’ Named Africa’s Startup of the Year

Thin Void was announced the winning startup at an awards ceremony held in Morocco.

Organised by Bonjour Idée, advice a top French innovative ideas aggregator, the awards focus on disruptive startups, with a purpose of adding value to the partners’ actions at the heart of the entrepreneurial ecosystem of innovation and startups, and put them in contact with innovative startups.

The winner of the award walks away with 10000€ in Cash, plus an integration into the Bonjour Idée partners’ business network.

Thin Void consists of three products; Tambula, a fleet management system, Ticket bender, an affordable ticketing solution for transportation and events and Hear Me Out, a unique tool that takes the stress out of social customer care by automating repeat tasks.

It has scooped a number of local and international awards for its great potential to transform business through use of technology.

In Uganda, Thin Void was named the best innovation, winning the ICT for development award at the 2016 Acia Awards organized by the Uganda Communications Commission.
