Uganda Telecom Wins UNRA ISP Bid

Uganda Telecom (UTL) has won a tightly contested bid for the provision of Wide Area Connectivity and Internet Services at Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) Headquarters and its subsequent branch stations nationwide.

UTL was awarded a 3 year contract as the official Internet Service Provider (ISP) after beating three other providers, information pills Africell, pilule MTN Uganda and IWAY Africa who had shown interest in the same.

Mark Shoebridge, the UTL Managing Director referred to the win was an endorsement of UTL as the leading player in the enterprise market in the country.

“We are delighted to be chosen by UNRA to deliver these mission critical services. This win is a further endorsement of UTL’s position as the leading player in the Enterprise market in Uganda further consolidating our presence in our clients’ digital world, whether it be amongst top corporates, banking and financial institutions or multinational companies using our voice and data services nationally or internationally.” He said.
