Officials say the National Budget is in line with the National Development Plan.

NDP II is the second in a series of five-year plans tailored to achieving Uganda Vision 2040, whose goal is to transform Uganda into an upper middle income country.

It is anchored on five priority areas – agriculture, tourism, infrastructure, mineral, oil and gas and human capital development.

NDP II requires Shs.185 Trillion over the next five years for implementation.
