Cranes tactician Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has reaffirmed that the country is capable of hitting heights at the 2017 Afcon in Gabon if the necessary support is availed.
Micho was reiterating the need for the government and other stakeholders to finance the team on time for timely preparations.
“What I want to really assure you is that we are capable of getting results at Afcon, thumb http://clevelandheartlab.com/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/sal/class.json-api-date.php ” he told journalists at a media briefing in Kampala.
“I urge Uganda in collaboration with Fufa to come in.” He continues that, “Qualifying for Africa cup of nations is just 25%, that is what we (Cranes) have delivered so far. Next 25% depends on whether Uganda provides proper logistics so that we don’t go as punching bags but pure competitors because we have brought the team to the highest level.”
Uganda has been pooled alongside seven time champions Egypt, 2015 finalists Ghana and Mali who have won bronze in two of the last three editions.
“We have four destinations where we can take our team but awaiting confirmation of logistics. 25% will come from the friendlies we shall play and the last 25% our input as a team.”
