Uganda soccer national coach Micho Sredojevic has been given a new three year deal despite the Cranes’ failure to make the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers last year.

There were rumuors of discontinuity regarding the man who replaced Bobby Williamson in May, pill http://ccresourcecenter.org/wp-includes/feed-rss2-comments.php 2013 since Uganda Kobs were eliminated 1-4 on penalties by Mozambique in the All Africa qualifiers last month. The Cranes however lived up to their usual tag of not living up to expectations, no rx http://cleverlink.com.au/components/com_k2/templates/register.php when they played visitors to Nigeria and beat the Super Eagles in front of their home fans 1-0 in Uyo.

And since then,  Federation of Uganda Football Associations (Fufa) president Moses Magogo has renewed his confidence in Micho.

“Our technical committee has met and decided that coach Micho carries on for the next three years. No coach has put us in a position where we only needed one point from the final game,” said Magogo during the announcement that was made at Fufa press conference today. “We have set performance parameters for Coach Micho,” he added.

“I have a life contract with Uganda,” said Micho.

“I thank all the people i have met in Uganda. Fans, administrators, media, let us correct whatever we have done wrong. My loyalty is to Uganda and I’m fully committed to organising development teams and a team for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

“We already have a core of young and good players around which the future national team will be built.

“We’ll only need to reinforce certain areas by other elements for upcoming deadlines, notably the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2018 World Cup which start later in June and October respectively.”

The 45-year-old Serbian coach first came to Africa in 2001 where he handled SC Villa before moving to Orlando Pirates (South Africa), St George (Ethiopia), Young Africans (Tanzania) and Al Hilal (Sudan) before he took the rein of the Rwanda national team for two years and later moved to handle the Uganda Cranes.
