Eight time Uganda cup champions KCCA FC and SC Villa had to navigate through tough terrains to qualify for the semi-finals on Sunday.

The match ended level forcing the referee to call for spot kicks. The league champions were the first to take with Waswa repeating the fete by placing the first kick beyond Etyang’s reach for the first before Ocan saved Emma Ochieng’s ensuing kick.
Owen Kasule, Joseph Ocaya and Isaac Ntege completed the rest while only Wilberforce Kanya managed to score for the host with Etyang blasting over the bar to end it 1-4.
In Namboole, Isaac Muleme came back to haunt former masters with an extra time penalty after Martin Mpuuga was penalized for handling the ball in the box.
The penalty was however contested by the hosts leading to the expulsion of Farouk Kawooya from the pitch. The visitors then managed to hold on to their goal till the end of extra time. The game had ended barren after 90 minutes.
SC Villa and KCCA FC now join Lweza and Bul FC for the semi-final slots. The draws will be held on Wednesday 22nd April at the FUFA house Mengo.
