Uganda cup record winners Express will be seeking to book a berth into the quarterfinals for the first time after a long period.
Express who have 10 Uganda cup titles under their belt last won the title in 2007 and have also gone a couple of years without reaching the quarterfinal stage.
The red eagles last reached the quarterfinal phase in 2012 and will be seeking to break the 5 year jinx as they take on Masavu on Saturday at Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.
The Entebbe road based side come into the game on the back of a 1-0 win against Baza Holdings in the Fufa Big league which propels them closer to promotion.
Masavu are just one win away from winning promotion to the Uganda premier league.
With head coach Allan Kabonge still suspended, Alex Gitta the club technical director will take on the mantle to lead Masavu against his former side.Gitta was a coach at Express before being sacked last year.
This will be the first meeting between the two sides. To reach the last 16, Express eliminated Doves All Stars 4-3 on penalties after a goalless draw in normal time.
On the other side, Masavu pummeled Igombe FC 5-0 with Peter Lumolo scoring four of the five goals.
