Uganda Cranes Pips KCCA FC in Test Match

In a bid to test their credentials ahead of the highly anticipated game against Rwanda, the Cranes continued with their intensive preparations.

After three days of training, the team had a build up game against Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC.

The game played on Saturday at the Mandela National stadium,outside pitch saw the Cranes edge KCCA FC 2-0.

Midfielders Muzamir Mutyaba and Deus Bukenya scored the two goals for the national team.

Under the guidance of interim coaches Moses Basena and Fred Kajjoba, the team gets a day off on Sunday before resuming training on Monday.

This time round, the camp will shift base to St.Mary’s stadium where the team will train for the final week ahead of the game.

Uganda takes on Rwanda in the final hurdle of determining the team that will represent the CECAFA region at next year’s Championship of Africa Nations (CHAN).

The first leg is slated for 12th August at St.Mary’s stadium, Kitende and a return leg a week later in Kigali.
