Uganda Cranes Defender Close to Joining Orlando Pirates

Jukko Murushid in action for the Uganda Cranes at the 2017 African Cup of Nations

Defender Murushid Jjuko could become Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic’s first signing at Orlando Pirates.

Reliable reports indicate the towering defender is edging closer to sealing a move to join the South African giants.

Jjuko is reported to have flown out of Uganda on Thursday evening aboard South African airways with his likely destination being South Africa.

The calm and composed defender has been a regular in Micho’s starting lineups with the Uganda Cranes before the latter decided to dump the national team for a juicer deal at the Buccaneers.

With Micho unveiled as the new Orlando Pirates coach on Thursday, it is believed he could be playing a big part in luring the player to join him in South Africa.

Jjuko has been playing with Tanzanian giants SC Simba for over three seasons but has not returned to Dar es Salaam since the league ended.

He is been in Kampala and often seen training with the Cranes team preparing for Championship of African Nations (CHAN).

The defender previously featured for Vipers and now defunct SC Victoria University before seeking for greener pastures in Tanzania with SC Simba.
