Hon Nabeta’s ascent to the board chair in 2014 faced stiff challenge after a whistle blower contested his academic qualifations
The whistle blower in his petition to the Inspectorate of Government also claimed that Nabeta — at that time purported to be the owner of another TV station (NBS) hosted on UBCs’ masts, — was not suited for such a top position at UBC.
He was however cleared by the Inspectorate after it emerged that he had sold all his stake in NBS.
