Tooro Youths Caution Government on Impeding Crisis

King Oyo Nyimba's subjects are worried about a likely outbreak of bloodshed in Tooro Kingdom

The Chief Administrative officer, http://cowex.ca/core/common-admin.php Mr Saraphine  Alia said that much as the civil servants are entitled to vote in the fourth coming elections for the candidates of their choice,  they are not permitted by law to openly campaign for them.

“The report reaching my office indicates that some civil servants of Apac district are openly involved in the ongoing political campaign. I do recall I had given guidance and cautioned civil servants against the dangers of getting involved in open political campaigns,” the letter addressed to the staff reads in part.

He said civil servants who will be caught carrying out campaigns will face disciplinary actions.

“Those therefore openly campaigning for the candidates are doing so in their own individuals capacity and should be prepared to face the consequences individually,” Mr Alia said.

A section of Tooro youth under their group “spears and swords” (Amacumu N’ebitara) have petitioned government seeking its immediate intervention to resolve Tooro Kingdom’s escalating misunderstandings.

The petitioners claim that the kingdom has lagged behind in development owing to the ceaseless wrangles between the self-styled rebel King Prince David Kijanangoma Araali and His Majesty Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru.

The petition was handed over to the Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon Rebecca Kadaga by the youth projects’ leader Tooro Kingdom Anthony Kalyegira at Parliament on Tuesday.

In the petition, healing http://celltrials.info/wp-includes/class-wp-customize-control.php the youths allege that the misunderstandings have stalled development in the Toro Kingdom.
They seek government to take quick action and that failure to do so the only option would be to raise, http://crememinceur.com/wp-admin/includes/user.php mobilize, apply any means and fight for sanity to be restored in their kingdom.

They argue that instead of focusing on developmental issues, they spend most of their time talking about Tooro conflicts, something they said has divided people more.

James Mugenyi the youth Minister Toro Kingdom said they want government to use its security bodies like police and the army to provide security so that calm is restored.

He also called for President Yoweri Museveni to apply his authority against the conflicts between King Oyo and rebel King David Kijanangoma.

Vincent Mugume, the Deputy Information officer Tooro kingdom observed that Kijanangoma is not a recognized king of Tooro yet he is preparing for his official coronation on December 23rd.

Prince Kijanangoma declared himself the rebel king of Tooro and accused Oyo of abrogating the Tooro constitution and incompetence.

He said King Oyo had failure to mobilize his subjects and establish projects aimed at fostering development in the kingdom, his overstay in Buganda kingdom and failure to stop Queen mother Best Kemigisa from involving in the affairs of the palace.

Kijanangoma’s announcement left the kingdom divided into two factions with a section loyal to him at his palace in Rwengoma and another to King Oyo.
