The Deputy General Secretary for NRM Richard Todwong has urged the unsuccessful NRM candidates in party primary elections in the new districts not to contest as independents in the General elections, buy more about as this may weaken the Party.

Todwong made the remarks while addressing Kagadi District NRM delegate’s conference on Wednesday in Kagadi Community hall at Kagadi District headquarters.
He further asked the failed candidates to rally behind the NRM flag bearers as a strategy of building and following the NRM party guidelines.
Tadwong also appealed to the leaders at different levels to shun tribalism, clinic sectarian sentiments, and wars of disunity among others that will not develop Kagadi District.
He warned other NRM leaders from other neighboring Districts not to interfere and disorganize the elections of Kagadi District.
The Independent Electoral Commission today started nominating candidates that will be battling for the woman parliamentary and district chairperson seats in the new districts of Kagadi, Kakumiro, Kibaale, Omoro and Rubanda.
