The Carabinieri Pledges Full Support to Uganda Police

The National Military Police of Italy, visit this The Carabinieri has pledged to support Uganda Police Force in its operations against crime and terrorism

Gen. Kale Kayihura, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) on Friday May 20th met with a delegation from Carabinieri at the Police headquarters in Naguru where they signed a memorandum of understating (MoU) which will tighten cooperation between the two forces.

The head of the delegation and Commander General of Carabinieri Police Gen. Tulio Del Sette said The Carabinieri will offer full support in modernizing and professionalizing the force in terms of training and material support.

Gen. Kayihura welcomed the assistance and said the MoU will see the Uganda Police Force on top in fighting terrorism globally.

“The force had already received three helicopters from the Carabinieri before the signing of MoU which will empower the police air wing, ” said Kayihura

The Carabinieri Police delegation included Gen. Enzo Bernardini, Gen. Sebastiano Conitini, Col Giuseppe Battagua, Col. Francesco Ruggiero, Col. Nassimo Spaduecchia, Mr. Luigi Murgia, and Cap. Gianluca Zara.
