Former SC Villa and Uganda Cranes manager Chris Mubiru has appealed against the 10 year jail term handed to him on 18th September after he was convicted of sodomizing a young boy.
Mubiru today filed a notice of appeal before High Court in Kampala indicating that he is dissatisfied with both conviction and sentence.
Mubiru was convicted and sentenced by Buganda Road Court Chief Magistrate Flavia Nabakooza who also ordered him to compensate the victim with 50m shillings.
Mubiru’s conviction was based on evidence from five prosecution witnesses which was corroborated with that of the investigating officer who found sodomy kits in his house.
The victim who is now 23 was 17years at the time of commission of the offence
Jinja based top tier side Sadolin Paints Fc will be boosted by the timely arrival of versatile midfielder Edward Muwenda.

The lanky defensive midfielder has been contracted to Thailand outfit Rajvithi fc where he played until last season before returning back for short holidays.
However his visa was blocked and failed to return on time therefore settling for a short term deal of three months with Sadolin Paints.

Muwenda has previously turned out for army side Simba Fc before heading to Bankok BBCU FC. He has also played in Aman Jordan before returning to Rajvithi Fc for a second stint
