Tension is building in the northern district of Pader ahead of a contentious vote recount for Aruu North county slated for today Monday.
The Aruu North Parliamentary seat was won by the Forum for Democratic Change’s Lucy Aciro who got 8972 during the 18th February general elections. She was only two ahead of National Resistance Movement’s Kidega Nabison Knocks who polled 8972.

The vote recount was scheduled for today and all the preparations were done at the Magistrates Court but the members of opposition FDC led by the Aruu South constituency Member of Parliament, ambulance http://dentistryatthepark.com/wp-includes/kses.php Odonga Otto protested the move saying some of the ballot boxes that were held at District Police Headquarters have been compromised.
The police itself on Sunday said that the boxes under their watch were tempered with and the case was recorded by their own ASP Nimanya Godson who is the Officer in Charge Criminal Investigations Department, under SD Reference 2627. Police claimed it was done by unidentified people.
