Teenage Robbers Netted in Kabale

The suspects with Kigezi police publicist Elly Maate at Kabale Police Station

Two teenage boys are being detained at Kabale police station for aggravated robbery.

The two are known bodaboda operators at Cheers Stage in Kabale town. These are said to have on October 4th 2016 at around 11pm robbed one James Akanyijuka of his laptop, a digital camera and Shs. 350,000.

Akanyijuka says he was drinking at a bar near Full Gospel Church, and afterwards he boarded Ampaire’s motorcycle back home.

Reaching near Cephas Inn on Makanga hill he says, the bodaboda broke down and suddenly Owomugisha emerged from the bush wielding a hammer and threatened to kill him and took off with his bag that contained a laptop, digital camera, the national identity card and money.

Elly Maate the Kigezi regional police spokesman says that police has commenced investigations and when they are over, the duo will be arraigned in court and charged with robbery under CRB
2781/2016.
