TDA Decides Friday on Letting Mbabazi in After Missing Deadline

The deadline for the return of nomination forms for those seeking to represent the alliance in next year’s presidential elections closed today Thursday at 4 pm.

Twinobusingye told journalists that as earlier requested by his client, it’s now up TDA members to either grant his request or not.

“My client isn’t playing delay tactics but he has been consulting his supporters from where due to interruptions by police he couldn’t make it to TDA,”

“My client is so much interested in the alliance since it is pro-people, which explains why he has been part of all the TDA activities.

He revealed that once the request is granted, Mbabazi will be returning nominations not as an independent candidate but under the NRM Pro-Change pressure group.

However, TDA coordinator, Bishop Zac Niringiye noted that the TDA would be unveiling its resolution on the matter on Friday.
