“Last night a minor incident happened in Gazaland were chemicals that were being mixed by a young man smoked. The widely publicised The Democratic Alliance (TDA) has crumbled without realising its objective of fronting a single opposition candidate in the 2016 presidential elections.

FDC National Chairman Wasswa Biriggwa, page http://cloudninerealtime.com/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/checkout/payment-method.php who has been chairing TDA meetings for the last one month, http://couponadventures.com/wp-includes/class-wp-admin-bar.php told journalists on Wednesday night that the Alliance could not support Hon Amama Mbabazi due to his alleged involvement in acts of corruption.

“We as FDC wanted someone who represents rule of law and accountability but Mbabazi did not embody this, http://demainechiropractic.com/wp-includes/class-walker-page-dropdown.php ” said Biriggwa.

“He has no structures and would lead to the downfall of the Alliance,” he added.

Sources said Mbabazi was today asked to explain more about his structures he intended to use for campaigns but said they would soon be visible.

TDA members were not convinced.

Conservative Party (CP) President Ken Lukyamuzi described Mbabazi’s Go Forward organisation as “armophous.”

Lukyamuzi emphasised: “We don’t know who vetted him to lead that group.”

FDC said it has the mandate to reform society due to the credibility and corruption-free record of its leaders.

This means FDC will go ahead to nominate Dr Besigye for the 2016 presidential elections.

Mbabazi will as well seek nomination on the independent ticket.

Dr Olala Otunnu’s UPC, Beti Kamya’s UFA and PPP of Bidandi Ssali seconded Mbabazi’s candidature.

But FDC and Conservative Party backed Besigye.

This led to failure in reaching a consensus as provided in the TDA protocol.

“We have agreed to disagree,” said Dr Olara Otunnu in reference to the dissolution of TDA.

Some analysts argue that two strong candidates would overstretch Museveni during campaigns and possibly secure a re-run.

But FDC officials say Mbabazi is very weak and that he relied on the opposition parties’ structures to hold successful rallies in Eastern Uganda.

They further claimed that Go Foward lacks a Constitution that guides its operations.

DP President Norbert Mao last week warned that failure to field a joint candidate would hand victory to President Museveni.
