The Resident District Commissioner Buhweju Emmy Kateera Turyabagyenyi has directed police to arrest the sub county chief of Bitsya and his accountant for allegedly stealing money from the Youth Livelihood Fund project.

Turyabagyenyi identified the affected groups as Kasana Youth Chairs and Tents project which was planned to receive Shs 4, http://chaudharylaw.com/wp-includes/rss.php 300,000, Kanoni Youth Coffee Processing project (Shs 5,450,000), Kitega 1 Tents and Chairs Youth project Shs (4,300,000), Kyenjogyera Youth Piggery project (Shs 3,700,00) and Kankara Youth Piggery project (Shs 4,400,000).
The RDC says the arrested have must be prosecuted and made to refund the money.
Kateera told Chimpreports that after consultation and investigations, it was revealed that Shs 200,000 was paid in advance which suspects admitted that it was for facilitation to process the payment.
“Of course bribery is part of the lives we live and when its local people, it is understandable. But when it’s the very leaders who are involved, then these cannot be pardoned,” he said.
