Nakawa grade magistrate Noah Ssajabi has warned the State prosecution in the matter where 20 people are accused of murdering former Police spokesperson AIGP Andrew Kaweesi, his bodyguard Kenneth Erau and driver Wambewa; to speed up investigations the lawful 6 months investigation period elapses.
The warning came yesterday when state prosecutor Carol Apiya once again told court that inquiries into the matter are not yet complete and requested for more time.
The magistrate reminded the prosecutor that the accused persons have been on remand for five months now, and that after six months they must be committed to High Court for trial or the remand expires.
