Roy Ssemboga was on Monday sworn in as the 82nd Makerere University guild president. This follows a protracted battle between Bazil Mwotta and Roy Ssemboga that took them close to 6months that included court suits on over who exactly won the race.
At a ceremony that took place in the main hall today morning at Makerere University, hospital http://cotro.com/wp-includes/class-ixr.php Roy Ssemboga successfully took over from David Bala Bwiruka. Guild representatives, councilors and GRC were also sworn in at the function.
The ceremony was presided over by the Vice chancellor Prof John Ddumba Ssentamu, the dean of students and the 81 guild speaker Jotham Burobuto.
Prof Ddumba asked the new leaders to work hand in hand with the university management to solve problems facing the institution.
“I know Makerere University is facing both short and long term problems but it’s all about working together that we can solve them simultaneously my office is always open for you” he said.
Ssemboga congratulated members of the cabinet upon all their successful struggle and asked them to work with him in full spirit. He appointed 17ministers and yet to add more.
