South African Ladies Netted With Cocaine at Entebbe

Customs officers and Aviation security at Entebbe Airport have Wednesday arrested two South African ladies in connection with smuggling and trafficking drugs into the country.

Grace Golile, order 55 and Abigail Finuwe, 42, both South African nationals are currently in custody after scanning gear at the airport revealed narcotics in their luggage.

According to information from Uganda’s Tax governing body, the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), Ms Golile was caught with 3.7 kgs of suspected Cocaine while Ms. Finuwe was found with 852 grams of the same narcotics.

The Authority revealed that dealing in narcotic drugs is against the law and is punishable in courts of law.

“The suspected ladies are to face the law. Narcotics are prohibited commodities under customs laws. Dealing in them is a heavy crime,” read part of the statement posted on URA social media.
